We have started the series of four Civic Engagement Workshops for Archita students! We worked with 50 children from the village school, talked about superheroes and their qualities, and asked ourselves if we, in turn, could be superheroes in our community. With the group of teenagers, we addressed more complex topics, such as children’s rights and the importance of respecting them, and personal development worksheets. We continue on Friday with two more series of workshops. These civic engagement workshops are part of a larger series of 14 meetings, five of which took place last year. Children are encouraged through activities and games to learn and understand their role in the community, but also how they and their parents or friends can relate to authorities such as the town hall, the county council, other NGOs, etc.
