On June 3rd, we will open the doors of the Trust for an event where we will welcome people of all ages.
The life of each of us represents a story in itself and, because it is created by people and works for people, the Mihai Eminescu Trust Foundation has its own story. A story that gathered examples of ambition, perseverance, and dedication, a story about obstacles, unconditional love, and support.
On June 3, from 11:00 a.m., come to the MET garden in Sighisoara citadel, on Cojocarilor street, at number 10, to find out our story and that of the heroes from the Transylvanian villages, where we work: the story of Maria and Alexandra, of Istvan or Maximilian.
After we unravel their stories, we invite you to sit with us at the table, in the shade of the apple trees in the garden, and take part in one of the workshops we have set up for children, parents, and grandparents.
– Leatherworking workshop with the strap maker Ana Nistor.
– We create a traditional local village in miniature with houses and churches made of clay which we paint and then turn into magnets.
– Canvas painting workshop with the painter Călin Butnaru.
This special day is part of a project that we are currently running in the village of Archita, called: „THE BARN: Experiential Laboratory for Inclusive Civic Engagement”. Through this project, we translate our belief that society is much stronger when its citizens are actively involved in the development of their communities. The project’s first objective is to increase the involvement of 100 children and young people in activities to revitalize community life. In this project, there is a component that helps us a lot: Organizational development and improvement of external communication of our Foundation’s activity. As part of this activity, we are organizing the event on June 3, the Day of Open Doors. We will be open until 5 pm to tell you the story of our project.
