On a cheerful Friday in April, we and no less than 50 cheerful volunteers worked together to bring to light the best version of Archita Village. This is the place where we make great things to happen within our project: THE BARN: Experiential Laboratory for Inclusive Civic Engagement.
Together with small and big people from the village and friends of the foundation from Sighișoara, who came especially for this, we attacked the areas of the village that needed care. Together we packed two trailers full of rubbish, and the village can breathe a little better now!
The end of the action took place at the house of the Foundation in the village, where we all enjoyed a war, traditional meal with a memorable taste.
This is the second cleaning action in the village, after the one organized last spring, and this time we enjoyed a larger attendance from the locals. The most involved in the activity were the children, who combined competitions of “Who fills the bag faster?” with the desire to lead the groups in the most polluted places of the village.
The action lasted for three hours, with three groups of volunteers dividing their village into several strategic areas, and finally all the groups coming together for the socialization part at the end.
