Atelier 8️⃣ / 23.07.2021_𝙈𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙨𝙪𝙜𝙪𝙧𝙞 𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙙𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡𝙚
Our second to last workshop was perhaps the most practical so far and that’s because we had as a guest Mrs. Elena Pascu from Mălâncrav village, from Laslea commune, a traditional weaver. Coming to Archita together with some nice helpers, Mrs. Elena showed our participants what a traditional costume from Sibiu County looks like, what are its components, Maria playing the role of the model in this case, to everyone’s delight. The little ones got acquainted with the stitches and the patterns on the etamine -a special type of fabric, they even made multicolored bookmarks from this material. The biggest ones made their own mini rugs made of colored wool. Everyone felt great. Many thanks to the Elena and Ioan Pascu family for their involvement and help.
